Achieving Community Transformation (ACT)
Core objectives of ACT include addressing unfair labor practices, employment discrimination, workplace safety, and other key issues surrounding economic stability for women and families with children ages 0-8 in the Mississippi Delta.
The long-term outcomes of the A.C.T. project are: improved maternal health and birth outcomes; equal employment opportunities for residents and overall improvement of the quality of life in the Mississippi Delta, focusing on Sunflower and Washington counties.
We are reaching out to you and others to get your ideas, hear your stories and work with you to bring about much needed change!
In the coming months, A.C.T. team members will join with local residents to hold community dialogue sessions, trainings and other programs. Stay tuned!!!
